Today's Tip

Basic Training Rule – Coaches will tell you that in order to maintain fitness you need to get in a ride at least three days a week. And, if you want to improve, it needs to be four or five rides a week, depending on your goals. A good way to fit in these workouts is to ride short on weekdays, perhaps during your lunch break, by commuting to work and home or by hitting the health-club stationary cycle. Then on the weekends, you can fit in your longer rides.

Cycling Glossary - Word of the Day

recumbent
Bicycles designed around a reclined instead of an upright body position. On recumbents you sit in a seat that resembles a lawn chair (complete with backrest) and pedal with your legs out in front of your body. These unique bicycles come in a variety of configurations but all offer great comfort because they support more body weight and eliminate pressure on the hands, arms, neck, etc.
