Group Rides

Everybody rides in Tuckahoe with four pace groups. There is a designated ride leader for each of our pace groups. Saturday mornings at 8:30 am is our main ride from our Tuckahoe location.

Check this page often for updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around our area. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun!

Jersey Devil Metric Century

The Jersey Devil Century is the annual premier ride of the South Jersey Wheelmen. The ride takes place when temperatures are starting to cool and summer traffic has ebbed.

Clcik here to find out more and register today! Note: NO "day of" registration.

Registration, parking, ride start & finish, are at the Thundergust picnic area of Parvin State Park. The routes wander through the rural country side and a few small towns of Cumberland and Salem counties. The terrain is is mostly flat with just enough climbs to challenge new riders and add interest for the experienced rider.

Start anytime between 8 am to 9:00 am and ride at your own pace with two options of 31 or  62 miles. The 62 mile route has a food/rest stop (with bathrooms) located about half way through the route. An extra water stop is provided about 3/4th's of the way through each loop. A few stores and deli’s are located along the way. After tackling either route, the rides return to the park for some of the best “century” food of the summer.

Cue sheets, painted route marks, sag wagon service and water/food stops are provided (to keep prices low, no give away items this year). Back at the park will be meatball sandwiches, hotdogs, pasta salads, baked beans, and baked goods. Fee for SJ Wheelmen members is $10.00. Club T-Shirts and Jerseys are available for purchase at the ride. Come out and enjoy!
